Mary Immaculate College

 

Mary I entrance, where people enter and leaveMary Immaculate College was founded in 1898 for the training of primary school teachers.

It became a Recognised College of the National University of Ireland in 1974, from which date it has offered a 3-year Bachelor of Education Degree (B.Ed.).

Following the establishment of a link with the University of Limerick, a Liberal Arts B.A. Degree was introduced in 1992.

In addition, postgraduate degree courses in Education and in the Humanities are offered by the College. A Catholic foundation, Mary Immaculate College maintains an active Christian life where Christian values, freedom and personal responsibility are honoured.

Over the years it has established a reputation for sound scholarship, professional quality and academic excellence. Characteristic of the College is its informal friendly atmosphere, its general concern for the individual student and its warm welcome for the newcomer.
